On the weekend I visited Homesense again with my mum. Last time we went we were in a rush so didn’t manage to visit the other shops next door, but this time I had nowhere to be and we spent hours in Homesense, followed by Next Home and TK MAXX.
These Christmas gifts I am going to share with you are all from TK MAXX. I’ve never been a fan of the store but my mum wanted to go in so I thought I ‘d check out their beauty range and, Oh My God, I found some amazing gift ideas and stocking fillers at a great price.
I obviously didn’t buy everything in this post, but when I saw them I just had to take lots of pictures for you guys. They’re not the best quality photos as I took them on my phone, but hopefully you can still see the products well. I’ve also included the prices in the captions, but there are one or two products which I forgot the prices of, apologies.
I got sooo excited when I saw these beauty advent calendars! The calendar on the left is Ciaté’s original advent from this year which retails at £50, buuut… TK MAXX sells it for £25!
The calendars contents is valued at £124 and contains 23 mini nail varnish’s and a nail file. I visited the Farnborough store which I think may be an outlet, but it’s definitely worth a look in other stores near you if you’re after a beauty advent calendar on a budget.
Ciaté’s calendar on the right also retails at £50, but is being sold at £20. I’m not sure what the difference is between them, except that I noticed that this calendar features mostly glitter polishes. If you know the difference between the two please comment below, I’m very curious.
Like the beauty advent calendar, I got really excited when I found one of The Balm’s palettes. It’s my mission to buy one of them and I have no idea why I haven’t bought one so far. Unfortunately there were only two palettes left in TK MAXX and they both had been damaged by customers, which I was really gutted about. I did however buy a liquid foundation by Stila (not the colour above lol). I was hesitant about whether to buy it as I don’t know much about their products, but with a retail price similar to Mac, I figured it must be good. This foundation retails at £24 and was bought for £4.99!
Stila and other brands including: Too Faced, Superdry and Nars had individual products for sale such as: lip gloss, nail varnish, lip stick and mascara. These products were displayed like a jumble sale, but if you spend time searching you can find some cute stocking fillers. From what I remember, I think these products ranged from £5-£8.
I can’t remember how much this bareMinerals set was, but I imagine it would have been under £30. I bought a similar set to this which included the same lip gloss and eyebrow pencil, and the pencil in particular is a very good product. It’s doubled ended. One side is an eyebrow comb/brush, and the other side is the brown pencil which you twist to reveal.
I hope you’re all having a lovely week so far. It’s officially one month left until Christmas Eve! Let me know if you have discovered any beauty bargains 🙂
